Commercial & Office Movers in Sacramento
Your business can't stop while you move. We handle offices, warehouses and retail across Sacramento and the Bay Area — five movers and a 26ft truck from $299/hour, priced online before anyone visits your site.
always on time
Moving a business isn't moving a house with more boxes
A home move has one deadline. A commercial move has your building’s loading dock hours, a lift you have to book, insurance the property manager wants before anyone touches a door, and a team who can’t work until their desks are back. We plan around those first and the furniture second.
Not sure how many hours your move will take, or whether your building's rules will slow the day down? Send us the two addresses and roughly what's moving, and we'll tell you straight — no site visit, no sales call.
Why businesses pick Smoove
Owned by the movers who show up
The crew on your job is on our payroll — trained, certified and background-checked — never labour hired that morning. Nobody earns commission for upselling you, because nobody here is selling. We’ve completed over 5,000 moves since 2020, and we’re licensed, insured and bonded: MTR0192675 with the California Bureau of Household Goods and Services, USDOT 3810402 with FMCSA, carrying up to $1,000,000 in general liability cover.
One price, agreed before we start
Five movers and a 26ft truck from $299 per hour, quoted online from what you tell us — not after a salesperson has walked your floor. If the scope changes on the day, you hear about it before the clock keeps running.
What a Smoove commercial move looks like
Most commercial jobs follow the same four stages.
1. Walkthrough and plan. We look at what’s moving, what’s staying and what’s being disposed of, then work backwards from the date your new space has to be operational. You get a written scope and a price before anything is booked.
2. Building requirements. Loading dock windows, elevator reservations and certificates of insurance are the three things that stop a move on the day. We handle these with both property managers ahead of time.
3. Pack, label and move. Desks, filing, IT equipment and furniture are labelled to their destination room before they leave. Crews are our own employees — trained, certified, background-checked — not day labour.
4. Set back up. Furniture is reassembled and placed to your floor plan so people can work the next morning, not unpack all week.
Pricing starts at $299 per hour for five movers and a 26ft truck, plus a flat $99 truck and fuel charge. Drive time is billed at double where the two addresses are more than 10 miles apart, and any single item over 250 lbs — a safe, a large copier, heavy casework — carries a $200 handling fee. You get all of it online, before anyone comes to your site.

Tell us the addresses, the square footage and the date you need to be operational, and you’ll get a price online — no site visit required to see a number. If your building has dock or elevator restrictions, note them and we’ll plan the day around them.
What we move for businesses
Offices. Workstations, private offices, conference tables, filing, break rooms and reception furniture — labelled by destination room so the reset is fast.
Warehouses and light industrial. Pallets, inventory and equipment.
Retail. Fixtures, displays, stock and back-of-house. Most retail jobs run outside trading hours.
Medical and professional offices. Records, casework and specialist furniture, with chain-of-custody kept on anything containing client or patient files.
Single-item and partial moves. You don’t need to move the whole building. We take a floor, a department, or one heavy item another crew won’t touch.
Every job is done by our own employees — trained, certified and background-checked. We’re licensed, insured and bonded: MTR0192675 with the California Bureau of Household Goods and Services, USDOT 3810402 with FMCSA, with up to $1,000,000 in general liability cover. We serve the Sacramento region and the Bay Area.
Related services
Office moves usually pull in more than one crew skill. If you want the desks and workstations broken down and rebuilt, that’s furniture moving and furniture assembly. If you have a safe, a server rack or anything over 250 lbs, see heavy item moving. Need the files and equipment boxed before the day? That’s our packing service. If you already have movers and just need muscle at the dock, we also do loading and unloading on its own. For a larger office, book an on-site estimate and we’ll walk the floor with you.

FAQ
How much does a move cost?
Rates start at $159/hour for two movers and a 16ft truck, $199/hour for three movers and a 26ft truck, $249/hour for four, and $299/hour for five. Add a one-time $99 flat rate for truck and gas, whatever truck size you need. You price the job yourself online — pick your crew, date and addresses and the quote comes back in minutes. No in-home visit, no sales call.
What isn’t included in the hourly rate?
Six things, all of them listed up front: the $99 flat rate for truck and gas; packing supplies such as boxes, paper and bubble wrap; a $200 handling fee for any single item over 250 lbs (piano, gun safe, pool table, treadmill, massage chair); double drive time when your two addresses are more than 10 miles apart; overnight storage; and custom crating or speciality handling for antiques and delicate pieces.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Smoove holds MTR0192675 with the California Bureau of Household Goods and Services and USDOT 3810402 with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, and carries up to $1,000,000 in general liability cover. Basic cargo protection for your household goods is included in every move. Both licence numbers are public records — look them up before you book, with us or anyone else.
What areas do you serve?
The Sacramento region and the Bay Area — more than 70 cities, from Auburn and Elk Grove through to San Jose and Walnut Creek. We also handle long-distance moves within California, originating in either region. We are not currently authorised for interstate moves, so if you are leaving the state we will tell you straight away and point you to a carrier who is.
For thirteen of those cities we have written up the local parking rules, permits and truck access, and what each one actually means on move day: Sacramento, West Sacramento, Folsom, Rocklin, Placerville, El Dorado Hills, Stockton, Manteca, San Francisco, San Mateo, Walnut Creek, Vallejo and Petaluma.
